Academic Assessment is an important part of teaching and learning process. Hence, the Assessment pattern has been developed after conducting research of various international standards together with a study of the NCERT guidelines. The stress is laid on maximizing learning in the classroom, inducing a spirit to use the knowledge in real life situations.
The entire session is divided into two semesters whereby the CCE (Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation) is followed for grade Nursery to grade Sr. KG and Remodelled System of Assessment for grade 1 to 10. To evaluate students’ academic performance, periodic formative tests of objective /subjective nature are conducted every Semester. Apart from this there are Semester Exams and Pre-Board Exams for assessing the CBSE level of understanding and application for Grade 9th and 10th students.
The Pre-Primary teaching broadly uses the Play Way Method to teach the curriculum. Through this method, teachers facilitate students to understand basic concepts of language and numbers thus giving them the first lessons in Life Skills. The Play Way Method is further reinforced by hands-on activities conducted in and out of the classroom. Field Trips, Nature Walks, Celebrations of Festivals,
Topic-based Projects, Science Experiments form a regular and integral part of learning-through-doing.
